OddsOff Blocker — Privacy Policy

OddsOff Blocker is a browser extension that blocks access to gambling websites to support people recovering from gambling addiction. We collect as little as possible, and we never sell or share your data.

What the extension stores

• On your device only: the current blocklist of gambling domains, and (if you pair with an OddsOff account) your gambling-free streak count and estimated money saved, cached so the blocked page can show them.
• If you pair with an OddsOff account: a random device token that identifies this extension installation to the OddsOff server. Pairing is optional — blocking works without an account.

What the extension sends

• A periodic request to the OddsOff server to download the latest blocklist (no personal data attached).
• If paired: a periodic heartbeat carrying only the device token, so your OddsOff account can show that this device is protected and return your streak. No browsing history, no visited URLs, and no page content are ever collected or transmitted.

What we never collect

• Your browsing history or the addresses of pages you visit — blocking decisions happen entirely on your device via Chrome's declarativeNetRequest API, which lets Chrome match requests against the blocklist without the extension reading your traffic.
• Passwords, form data, or page contents.
• Anything for advertising or resale. We have no ads, no trackers, and no third-party analytics in the extension.

Data retention and deletion

Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored on your device. If you paired it with an OddsOff account, you can delete that account — and all data associated with it — from Settings → Delete my account in the OddsOff app at oddsoff-app.web.app.
